To ensure a successful Proof of Concept (POC), it is important that an appropriate public cloud account to connect to of Kumoco Cloud Manager. This page provides detailed guidance on selecting an account, and the access requirements that should be provided.
To enable a fast and valuable Proof of Concept (POC), the focus will be to show specific functions and workflows and how they relate to your organisation.
The POC will focus on the following key outcomes:
Visibility - can we see all the cloud resources in your environments?
Analytics - can we report on the state of each of your resources
Recommendations - can we make cost and compliance recommendations
Cost visibility - using accounts and tags, can we show who or what department is sending the money.
Kumoco Cloud Manager supports AWS, GCP and Azure. It is recommended that you choose to do the POC with one provider. If a client specifically wants to see multi-cloud during a POC, we will be happy to discuss this
Given these outcomes, we recommend choosing cloud accounts with a variety of cloud resources, ideally covering the following key resource types:
IaaS
PaaS
Resources with existing tags
Because cloud resources can generate GBs of data, we limit the number of resources that we discover for a POC.
Hence we are looking for up to 5 cloud accounts with a maximum total of 500 resources across all accounts.
